Welcome to the launch of Feathers UNLEASHED

I want to welcome you all to Feathers UNLEASHED.  With this blog I want to share my Art experiences with you while getting my hands dirty in creativity. 

To get things started, I'm working hard to get my work space clean.  It is a complete wreck!  I have trouble working in a messy area.  It wreaks havoc on my attention span.  I am also terrible at working on more than one project at a time.  Right now I am also working on a nursery mobile for a friend, helping my mom illustrate and write a children's book, and trying to launch this blog.  It is true what they say, everything does come in threes. 

As you can see my Art room is a complete mess.  It has become the dump area for coats, toys, and you name it.  My Art room was once a dining room.  Who needs that when you can pile all your art supplies to the ceiling.  I just received four boxes of art supplies from my mom to add to the rest of my collection of stuff.  I am awfully grateful for the donation. I received stamps, buttons, stencils, and jewelry making supplies.  Can't wait to dig into that!

After going through the four boxes of supplies, it was so hard trying to find a place for each item so that I could find it again. I try to group my supplies into one drawer or container to make it easier on myself, so that all sewing supplies, all jewelry supplies, all art supplies are together in one spot.   The stack of fabric on the table is my next project. 

Now that my art room is ready to use, I am excited to start my next project.  I have my sewing machine set up, so fabric here I come! I hope you will join me in my next project, a sewing adventure.
